Fellowship Hour
A time following worship for sharing food, friendship, fellowship and celebrating the many exciting ministries of the Redeemer.
Flowers
Flowers are placed on the altar to the Glory of God as an expression of devotion, thank-offerings and memorials. Flowers are given every Sunday in the year except the Sundays during the Lenten Season. At Christmas and at Easter, groups of parishioners are asked to give Poinsettias and Easter Lillies to be placed on the altar and in the windows.
Lay Readers
Lay readers are instructed by the clergy (with more extensive training for officiants) and take turns participating in services.
Parish Picnic
In the fall of each year, parishioners gather in a local park to celebrate Holy Communion. This time also provides the parish family with opportunities to come together in a fun and relaxing atmosphere to bring about spiritual nourishment, fellowship, sharing good food and good times with energy and/or creative ideas.
Usher Ministry
Ushers greet and extend a warm welcome to all attending, especially to newcomers and visitors. They distribute bulletins and help with seating. Ushers also take up the offering, provide a count of the congregation to the Priest and assist parishioners in moving to and from the altar rail during communion.
